How to join up for the booktalkoz discussion group
1. Go to http://au.groups.yahoo.com/group/booktalkoz
2. Take a bit of time to familiarise yourself with the page
3. Click on the blue button called Join this group
4. What you do at the next screen depends on whether or not you’re already a member of Yahoo

If you are not already a Yahoo member, then you need to join (it’s completely free, and gives you an e-mail address similar to Hotmail, though with much less spam)
1. Click on the blue link called Sign up now
2. Fill in the form
3. Do not tick the box for special offers etc., unless you want to receive advertisements
4. You will receive an automatic e-mail at your new Yahoo e-mail address. Click
on the line “Important! Please click here to verify this email address for your account”. Don’t be put off by the word “account”. It’s just computer jargon – it’s completely free

If you are already a Yahoo member, just use the sign in box on the right of the screen
1. At the next screen, fill in the form to join the booktalkoz discussion group. Use all the preselected default answers to the questions
2. You will receive an automatic e-mail confirming your membership
To read discussions, just follow the links – click on the link called messages (on the left side of the screen)
To contribute to discussions, the jargon term is “post”, so click on the link called post (on the left side of the screen)

If you get stuck, e-mail BookTalk.
If you received this guide by e-mail, just click on the link below.
mailto:booktalkoz@yahoogroups.com.au
Otherwise, the e-mail address is as above, without the words “mail to”
or you can just phone Val or Tony at (08)9773 1058
